We all indulge in spaghetti every once in a while (maybe more than we should?). Pasta is an indulgent and go-to meal but sadly one that is loaded with carbs, gluten and leaves you feeling full and bloated.
Imagine, that you could still enjoy your Italian grandmother’s spicy arrabbiata recipe but with the daily quotient of veggies in just one sitting, because you made zucchini, butternut squash, parsnip or sweet potato zoodles?
Turning your vegetables into a healthy, lower calorie alternative “zoodles” (aka zucchini noodles) is a fun, easy way to create innovative stir fries, salads and vegetable noodles as well as julienned vegetables (and fruits) using a kitchen spiralizer.

Paderno World Cuisine Tri-Blade Spiral Vegetable Slicer Review
This is my personal weapon of choice and pick for best spiralizer in this battle of vegetable pasta makers: the infamous Paderno World Cuisine Tri-Blade Plastic Spiral Vegetable Slicer.
It comes with three stainless steel blades: one that shapes your produce into spiral-like strands the size of a spaghetti noodle, a slightly larger (wider) blade that produces a larger spiral shape (think wider than spaghetti but still more narrow than fettuccine) and a third blade that produces a ribbon type of shape (think wider, like Pappardelle noodles).
Each of these blades is fantastic for adding not only a beautiful shape, but a delicious texture to the variety of zoodles that can be transformed: carrots, sweet potatoes, beets, zucchini, squash, cucumber, etc.

Paderno Upgrade
The upgrades in this category generally revolve around the ability to add more variation to the thickness of your veggie noodles. There is an option for a Paderno World Cuisine Spiralizer 4 Blade as well, which now includes a blade that makes the zoodles in a thinner fashion, more like an angel hair pasta at just a slightly higher price.

WonderVeg Vegetable Spiralizer Review
The WonderVeg Vegetable Spiralizer from WonderEsqu includes a cleaning brush, recipe book and two spare parts. The blades let you shred, chip or cut your vegetables into straight strips. You can use more than just vegetables too, try your fruits of all sizes.
This spiralizer is claimed to be 100% safe since the produce is inserted into the machine and directed toward the blades instead of your hands being near the sharp surface, similar to the Paderno (our #1 pick).

Veggetti Spiral Vegetable Slicer Review
The Veggetti Spiral Vegetable Slicer is one that will pop up frequently as you search for the best one on the market. It is hand-held, small enough to fit in a deep kitchen drawer or to rest alongside your other handy kitchen tools on a shelf. Its versatility allows you to make carb free pasta-zoodles, if you will, in an instant.
It has a dual, stainless steel blade, so you can opt to make your zoodles thicker or thinner, depending on preference. The standard Veggetti comes with 3 blades that offer a thin, spaghetti like noodle, a thicker fettuccine width noodle and a wider ribbon like noodle. Also read great things in Veggetti Pro reviews so check them out on Amazon too.

Our First-Hand Experience With Spiralizers
Now that you’ve read our vegetable spiralizer reviews, I must say I am extremely happy with my Paderno. I’ve had it for a year now and am pleased with my experience. The great thing about both the Veggetti and the Kitchen Supreme Spiralizer is that they are compact and therefore incredibly easy to use and store. Actually, after thinking about it, I am tempted to invest in a hand-held spiralizing device to bring camping. A fancy veggie pasta cooked on a camping stove over the light of a fire? Easy, nourishing and energizing on the go. With the best spiralizer in-hand you can enjoy all the “pasta” you want.
