I love this item – it makes “noodles” from zucchini that are quicker to cook than spaghetti, and have the consistency and taste of Asian noodles. I use them as a base for all kinds of “pasta” dishes. Cutting the zucchini into noodles is quick and easy, and cleanup is a snap (I just rinse the parts under running water). I have the tri-blade model but there is really only one blade that I use, so while I don’t have any experience with the newer 4-blade model, I’d stick with this simpler and less expensive version. – Ron, Amazon 8/14/2016
I have had my Paderno Spiralizer for 2 years. I was concerned it would be a cheap plastic item, BUT it has held up very well. The only thing that has broken after 2 years is one tooth on the handle. It still holds veggies very well. I use mine primarily for zucchini noodles. In which case the larger circle blade works great as it removes most seeds from a medium sized squash. It is a downside if you use it to make ribbon potatoes or carrot noodles. I have never put any parts in the dishwasher. I simply run the entire thing under water to rinse it and put it away until next time. The blades snap in very securely which makes it a challenge to pull one out and change it. I have been very careful when I remove the blade, and I haven’t cut myself yet, but I can see it being a very distinct possibility. I highly recommend this product if you want to make veggie noodles. I bought this at a fancy store at the mall after seeing the book “Inspiralized” next to this gadget. I came home so excited and eager to try some of the recipes. I first attempted to create noodles out of sweet potatoes but it did not work. Figuring out I needed something more visual, I went online and found a video (which of course, is shown using this with a zucchini). I tried again. And again. I asked my fiancé, figuring my skills were not good enough and he got, at best, what looks like broken rice. A whole two sweet potatoes later, I realized I made a mistake buying this. Luckily, I have my receipt so I will return this item. I see this brand has other spiralizers, but now I am gun shy about trying more of their products. – Iliana, Amazon 7/30/2016
I really wanted to like this item and have been looking everywhere for this. I was looking forward to it arriving. When I received it I was so disappointed. The construction was terrible. Made of a cheap plastic material that feels like it cost half of what it cost. Because of the cheap material, it very easily stains. It also didn’t work as well as I thought it would.
