Love With Food Review

Love With Food BoxVisit Website

Founded by Aihui Ong in 2012, Love With Food not only sends you a monthly snack box, but it also supports a child in need with every purchase. All treats are organic or all-natural. Unfortunately, you cannot specify any allergies or dietary restrictions, so this is not the right snack box for everyone.

Love With Food sent me a free box to try out. The snacks were yummy. Most of them were from brands I hadn’t heard of, so it was fun to try some new treats. Some of the snacks were pretty small portion sizes, so I’d need to eat a few bags to be truly satisfied.

  • They donate a meal to a hungry child in the U.S for every box purchased
  • Natural and organic snacks
  • Can buy more of what’s in your box on their site
  • Receive points for each box you get, for every 1,000 points you get $10 to redeem towards any item in their Shop
  • Gluten-free box available
  • Cannot specify diet and allergy restrictions
  • Snacks are only sent once a month (no other frequency options)
  • Cannot choose what goes in your box

  • Majority of the foods and drinks are gluten-free

Why Should You Buy A Healthy Snack Box?

Natural monthly food subscriptions are popular because they help you with portion sizes and provide healthier options than the candy bar you may be tempted to buy at the gas station. So if you’re looking to improve your health or just want to try some new snacks, these monthly deliveries offer great options to have organic snacks delivered.

Now that you’ve read our snack subscription box reviews, another fun subscription service to try is having teas delivered to your door (or office) each month. And if you like to cook, you should check out meal delivery subscription boxes.

Have you tried one of these boxes? What did you think?

Convenience and variety are about the most you get from Graze and Naturebox. I crunched the numbers and the total calories to dollar ratio is low. Like under 300 cal/$ low with most under 200. I can buy some reasonably healthy snacks on Amazon, say granola or mixed nuts, and easily get 300+. Even a bag of jerky has 257.5% more calories per dollar (103 vs 40 Amazon vs Naturebox respectively).
I believe graze had even worse value because they do only send you those tiny, preportioned containers with very little in it.

It pays to shop around I suppose.

I really enjoyed reading this article! I wanted to try one of these snack subscriptions, but was unsure of which one to choose! I also like all of the feedback in the comments section. So wise to read comments as well.

Graze is huge disappointment. My 12 year old daughter found the website and talked me into signing up because we would get a small free snack box. You needed to sign up for a recurring shipment but it says you can cancel at any time. My daughter chose her preferred snacks and I put in my visa information. A few days later I felt uncomfortable about the over-priced service and cancelled it. A very rude customer service representative “Risa” told me we could only have the “free” box if we hadn’t cancelled the recurring order. Well, that isn’t a free sample box is it? Instead of them going ahead and sending us the box and hoping we start ordering she was insulting for several emails and drove me here. My daughter is quite sad (and a little disillusioned, after all they offered us a free sample box). Avoid. So much easier and cheaper to just buy snacks yourself. Fresher too.

June 19, 2017 9:21 am

Graze has a cut-off time for orders and shipment. You likely canceled your order before they put it together, so they took it as canceling the free sample as well. They’re pretty clear about that when you place an order or check your status.

Blue Sky Sodas if available in your area are a healthier alternative.

BEWARE: Urthbox has terrible customer service. I purchased a Groupon ticket for a three months subscription and Urthbox charged me full price although I entered a voucher number on their website. Since then, I have written countless emails to Urthbox requesting a refund as I should not have been charged at all. They have not made any steps to refund me. Absolutely terrible…stealing money from customers. I do not recommend you purchase anything from this company. Also, what others say is true… their subscription is automatically renewed. What a scam.

Hello fellow foodies,

I’ve been using HelloFresh for a while now, and I am continuously amazed at how simple their meals are to prepare and how fresh and delicious all of their ingredients are! Their packaging is a dream and their delivery is reliable. This is such a time save I don’t know what I’d do w/o their amazing service!

BUYER BEWARE with Urthbox. Read the fine print. The Auto Renewal is pre-checked. They won’t do anything to resolve the issue if you haven’t read the fine print yourself even if your start through a Groupon. You can’t select the snacks that you like or want to try. Try another service.

Graze lets you “hold your subscription” if you don’t want it to auto send weekly, bi weekly, or every 4 weeks. I hold it off if I still have many snacks left over, then resume later.

Anna Sedore
August 8, 2016 10:10 am

BEWARE: When you sign up for Urthbox there is an “AUTO RENEWAL” box that is PRE-CHECKED! I purchased a 3 month subscription for my daughter’s second semester in university and didn’t notice that they were continue to bill me until the second renewal ($250 later). Customer service was very unreasonable, condescending, and refused to do anything to resolve the issue besides cancel the subscription for the next time. They wouldn’t refund the money even though the next set of boxes hadn’t been sent and my daughter was at home for the summer so she didn’t even need the products. They said because it was the second renewal “I must have known”. Sad because my daughter really liked the products so we would have continued to purchase a subscription while she was away for the next two years. BURNED!

I can say I’ve had a similar experience with terrible customer service at Urthbox. No email reminder, no notification of the full charge coming. Contacted customer service and received only childish response, three weeks later my box arrives. They had an opportunity to make this customer happy, no chance I’d ever try them again.

Kimberly has written an article that was actually fun to read. I really enjoy reading the pro and con. I am not so much into the subscription boxes the caters to dietary restriction. However, I do like the subscription boxes that provide a healthier alternative then eating chips or candy bars, and it seems that every one of these subscription boxes meet that requirement. If I had to choose a winner, it would be Love with Food. For me the best part of the subscription box is the mystery. It allow me to think outside the “box” and try something I ordinarily would not have tried. I really love the video, the reviewers reaction to eating the pineapple slices is…classic! Very informative article, well done.

Wow, I really enjoyed this review and I’m gonna save money and health. Great job Kim! And now I can stop buying, cheese balls…and because I’m a Muslim (so can’t eat products with animal products, at least that’s not verified by an Islamic authority) I can choose vegan and this article is concise and to the point.

P.S. cheese balls are tasty!
